Lily George is an adult nurse practitioner seeing patients 13+ at the Natural Health Center in Anchorage. Born and raised in Alaska, Lily is passionate about improving access to endocrine care for Alaskans, while using an integrative medicine approach. She graduated with her MSN from Duke University School of Nursing with Endocrine Specialty Certificate, with the goal of being able to assist in the treatment of various endocrine disorders as appropriate.
Lily obtained a B.A. in political science from the University of Alaska Anchorage in 2013, but found her passion after being treated for her own endocrine-related symptoms. That is when she was introduced to the integrative medicine approach and decided to pursue integrative medicine and endocrinology together. She studied nutrition through Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science with the goal of using nutrition as part of her approach to endocrine care, then attended nursing school at University of Rochester in Rochester, New York, where she obtained her BSN. Upon graduation, she returned home to Alaska where she worked in bedside nursing while completing her master’s degree and endocrine specialty certificate through Duke. She is board certified as an Adult Nurse Practitioner, able to see ages 13 and older.
Lily was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society and is a member of the Institute for Functional Medicine, Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine, Endocrine Nurses Society, Endocrine Society, and the Alaska Nurse Practitioner Association.
Her goal is to collaborate with the patient and all members of their care team to provide a holistic, integrative medicine approach that is sustainable and helps them feel supported and empowered.

An integrative approach to endocrine care
Integrative medicine acknowledges that each patient is unique; there are no cookie cutter, one-size-fits-all solutions. By taking a holistic approach, integrative medicine combines conventional medicine with complementary and alternative therapies to treat the whole person.
Our adult nurse practitioner, Lily George, uses this integrative medicine approach to help patients support their endocrine system, which is responsible for regulating bodily functions, including growth and development, metabolism, reproduction and mood. Common endocrine disorders Lily works with patients to address include:
Thyroid
Type 1 and type 2 diabetes
Lipid disorders
Endometriosis and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)
Lily also utilizes specialized testing to evaluate gut health and nutritional status.
