He has specialized and dedicated 32 years and over 30,000 hours practicing Trigger Point Therapy here in Anchorage. Aware of how pain can control every aspect of our lives, including sleep, relationships, work, and play, he understands that compassion and respect for each individual is key.Warren believes that to reach positive outcomes and optimal wellness, patient education and goal-setting is vital, along with the collaborative care offered by the excellent providers here at Natural Health Center. He has treated patients for conditions ranging from migraines to toe pain and pretty much everything in between with positive outcomes.

Warren earned his diploma and certification from the Academy of Myotherapy and Physical Fitness in Lenox, Massachusetts. His passion for helping people has always been a part of his life. At 18 he joined the Army Medical Corps and served as a Field Medic and Psychiatric Specialist, receiving diplomas for both, as well as the Army Certificate of Achievement. After an Honorable Discharge he moved to Ketchikan to work on a fishing Seiner where he fell in love with Alaska. It was a wonderful break but his earnest desire to spend his life helping people found him moving to California taking a position as a supervisor with Orange County Association for Challenged Citizens. Perhaps his greatest success and lasting legacy there was initiating and being instrumental in obtaining an hourly pay rate for employment which was a first for them in the state. He then moved back to Denver, his home town, and took a position as a dispatcher for Reed Ambulance, the largest service of its kind in the state. While working with them he received the Employee of the Year and Outstanding Service Awards and was appointed Dispatch Supervisor. During his time in Denver he attended Metropolitan State College and earned his certification as a Gymnastics Coach / Teacher (one of his other great loves in life) and received a diploma from the Columbia School of Broadcasting.

All of this found him still looking for ways to work with and help folks. Serendipity stepped in and he learned about trigger points and the Academy. Excited, he applied and was accepted thinking that would be an interesting way to work with people. After graduating he was asked to stay on and become one of the instructors at the school. However the person giving the commencement speech for graduation just happened to have a booming practice working with an orthopedic physician in Anchorage and was looking for help. Having found work that he liked and an opportunity to return to Alaska, he eagerly applied for the position, was accepted and on the road bound once again for the Great Land. What he didn’t know at the time is he had run headlong into his life’s work and passion. Thirty-two (almost thirty-three) years later still passionate and in love with and absolutely fascinated by the body and what it takes to make it go! He continues his education and attends whenever possible classes for Advanced Myofascial Techniques and Myofascial Trigger Point.

Living here he has been able to stay in touch with other things he loves and enjoys . He has coached gymnastics for over thirty years and though recently retired still is an active gymnast. One of his other great loves in life is motorcycling which he does year around. Dad always said “that boy ain’t right in the head.” He also enjoys getting out into the community and has volunteered and worked in several of our local marathons. He and his partner Emily love the great outdoors here (and Hawaii, whenever possible!) and get out and go exploring at every opportunity.
