Dr. Nate Lorenc Chiropractor in Anchorage

Dr. Nate Lorenc is a licensed chiropractor at Natural Health Center in Anchorage, Alaska. He draws from his education and experience with chiropractic care, Active Release Technique, Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization, and Graston Technique to help his patients address their pain and reach their health goals.

The road to becoming a chiropractor

Dr. Lorenc’s interest in health began at a young age after suffering a back injury as a teenager playing basketball. At 13 years old, he was experiencing sciatic symptoms and at 15, an x-ray confirmed a fracture in his spine.

The road from there was far from easy, but with good advice and treatment from professionals in the field, Dr. Lorenc was able to return to playing the game he loved. He eventually came to see his personal experience as an opportunity to further his knowledge and help others who dealt with debilitating pain.

Chiropractic education and experience

Dr. Lorenc received his bachelor’s degree from San Jose State University in kinesiology and went on to get his doctorate in chiropractic from Palmer West College of Chiropractic. He has certifications in Active Release Technique, Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization, and Graston Technique. He is particularly interested in the complexity of pain and attends yearly seminars to deepen his understanding.

Approach to patient care

Dr. Lorenc strives to break down the intricate physiology of the human body into simple language and analogies a patient can relate to. He values communication as the most important factor in a doctor-patient relationship and believes that pain is a unique experience for each person. He works with patients to establish concrete goals and provides support and practical advice to help them achieve those goals.

A typical appointment with Dr. Lorenc involves taking a patient’s history, treating the body with soft tissue work and chiropractic adjustments/manipulations, and prescribing exercises and stretches to help restore the body’s strength and confidence.
