Anchorage Family Nurse Practitioner

Laura Evans, FNP is an Anchorage family nurse practitioner at Natural Health Center who welcomes patients of all ages. She is passionate about working with patients to find root causes of disease, instead of treating only symptoms.

A personalized approach to each patient
As a family nurse practitioner, Laura utilizes lifestyle modifications, nutrition counseling, herbals and prescriptive medications in order to create a personalized approach to each patient’s health. Her passion in medicine is patient education and empowering patients in their health journey to learn and heal their body.

Education and experience
Laura graduated summa cum laude from the University of Wyoming in 2011 with a Master’s in the Science of Nursing and is certified through AANP as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She has also taken numerous courses through the Institute for Functional Medicine and utilizes a systems biology-based approach focusing on identifying and addressing root causes of disease.

About Laura
Laura grew up in Alaska and is an avid hiker and backpacker with her dog, Ollie. She has traveled extensively and has walked the Camino de Santiago across Spain twice. She also is a certified yoga teacher and reiki practitioner. Laura believes the healthier we and our communities are, the more our lives are vibrant and fulfilling.
